From an early age, I would actively seek out quiet spaces. I grew up in a large blended family, and quiet occasions came at a premium. For me, finding tranquility and alone time became a very important pursuit. In today’s world, information and technology increase the level of speed in which our lives move. I seek to find and hold onto the quiet and often unforgotten moments in life. In my work I actively search out these quiet points and places. Places where you might take a take a deep breath and enjoy the solitude. It is in my art that I preserve these quiet spaces and seconds in time, and give them an opportunity to breath.
Currently I am interested in exploring the quietness of urban decay, urban abandonment and urban landscapes. |
